Cynthia Riedel

Sole proprietor and founder of "Brush with Nature, LLC

Since moving to Kaua'i in 1994, Cynthia has immersed herself everyday in the world of art and nature, gaining a deeper insight into the connection between the soul and the environment.

Educated at Rochester Institute of Technology in design, Cynthia worked in Computer Graphics and Publishing in Boston, MA. Once living on Kauai she was drawn to take her design skills outside into the 3 dimensional realm of the garden. Here she found a new canvas on which to expand her sensibilities of color and composition. Ten years of blissful hands-on gardening and landscaping have melded into an awareness of color, light and environment that is reflected in her artwork and lifestyle. It is her desire to share this vision with others that has led to the creation of Brush with Nature.

Nina Monasevitch

Nina’s love of the ocean, marine mammals and the beauty of nature brought her to Kauai in 1978. She has worked as an advocate for marine conservation for 30 years. She enjoy’s photography, painting and gardening to reflect the magic and beauty of the ocean and Kauai. The joy and peace she feels from Kauai, Hula, swimming and scuba diving is a constant source of inspiration for her, and she delights in sharing that inspiration with others.

Nina feels it is truly a blessing to live here and she loves sharing the magic of the Garden Island.

Cheri Thorne

Cheri Thorne is an energetic, free spirited artist and photographer. Born in New Zealand, where she studied painting at the Elam School of Fine Arts in 1960's, she was a commercial artist and participated in art exhibitions in Aotearoa (New Zealand) through the 1970's. Cheri came to Kauai in 1979 where she has raised her two very artistic sons, nurtured many gardens and has become a successful wedding photographer, painter and avid collector of plants.
